Seriously, I got no issue with religion, I go to church most sundays myself, but they'll be telecasting the winter Olympics live from Hell itself before I buy a cd of christian rock.......

y'all are more than welcome to it yourself and I wouldn't try to destroy your CDs at camp or anything, but I just can't bring myself to do it......

I saw them in concert after 10,000 Days came out... WICKED show... Of course I'm biased since they're my favorite band of all time.

ISIS opened for them... very cool. If you haven't heard them, you should check them out!

I'm religious but very secularist; I have a visceral reaction to any of that. I've heard some songs that honestly sound just fine in terms of rhythm and everything but if the lyrics go preachy I just can't stand it. "Flood" I did like, but a lot of the rest just makes my skin crawl.

I can choose to ignore it, and wouldn't hold it against anyone else for listening, i realize most of that's MY personal bias, but I have one.

If it's not for you, that's cool Mark. I don't like the "My God is an Awesome God" blah blah stuff... I have the reaction to it myself...

I guess that's why I like Skillet and bands in that vein... if you choose to hear the message, you do... otherwise it's just good music with cool lyrics. Skillet is definitely not IN YOUR FACE when it comes to the religiosity of the message.

I read this whole thread and I feel like I was sitting in church.

I had you guys pegged for at least country music....well except Q!! I had him pegged for death metal.

As far as music goes, some of my favorite acts are Nickelback, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Charlie Sexton, Keith Urban, Bob Seger, REO Speedwagon, Linkin Park, and I have a lot of good memories involving Def Leppard songs. (backseats of cars with teenage girls...and I just bought the CD last year )

As far as sports go, I'm not much of a football fan because I'm always hunting instead of watching the games. I kind of follow the Bulls but not really since I think the NBA kinda sucks. Baseball is my sport, I played it through junior college and it's still my favorite. I've been a Phillies fan since I was a little kid, but I'll watch almost any game that's on tv. I watch a ton of Cubs and White Sox games since those are the games I can get most of the time. Being a pitcher and a center fielder from ages 8 to 19 took a toll on my left shoulder, which now features arthritis and loose cartilage. That's one of many reasons why I shoot the greatest bow of all time...the easy drawing, smooth shooting Switchback XT!!! Solocam Fever...Catch It! LOL.

My shoulder even gets sore if I golf too much, if I play more than 18 holes in a day or more than 2-3 times a week it gets pretty cranky.
