You guy's that are already out hunting have it made. My season doesn't open for three more weeks but then I have almost a whole month do to it in. I take a pretty laid back approach to turkey's and mainly hunt afternoons every once in awhile I'll head out before day light. I've had my best luck calling later in the day after the flocks have spread out and the Tom's are looking for some action again. It's also the last part of our season and most of the hen's have already been bred and I seem to get good response form Tom's that are getting pretty lonely at that time

How many birds can you take in a year? between spring and fall season, and the bonus tag I can take four.
Last year I could have been done at 7:15, but the bird hung up about 80 yards.
My cousin did the calling and I was the gunman..
two days later I called a longbeard in and shot and missed..
